All I wanted was to paint, and I did it like Pollock

Daubs of paint hear and there it was all over the desk.

Then set sail as the Salvador Dali butterfly in the sea

long masts and open sky and painted all in between

color added to the canvas in strong impasto style

palette filled with hues and tones that I see around

Just to find some black and white among the lot

flying with flat wings it basked on the elephant ear

flat skipper seen always after the monsoon rains

When the sun shines bright it darts around the yam

common sight in my backyard as I planted the purple

creeper on my mango tree host to the snow flat

millions of iridescent scales in thick black and white

I painted that too, between colors fill a tint of grey-scale.
